SEIKO World Time Pilot Watch M158-5009 Quartz LC

This watch belonged to my brother who was a Trident Captain for British Airways. 

I remember being told he bought it in Japan in the 1970s. This is born out by the fact that the watch date and time settings begin in 1970. 

The number on the back is 880940 if that helps at all.

The model number on the watch casing is M158-5009.

The strap is in good order and is stamped at either end Z-129.

It’s 50 years old and bears the usual scuffs and marks you’d expect. You’ll note that one of the side setting buttons is missing. I got around that by using a blunt cocktail stick when required.

A rare vintage timepiece in good working order.
