This is a tail light lens and housing from a 1956 Oldsmobile. I believe it was from a '56 Holiday or maybe 88 model. At the top of the lens it is imprinted with "GUIDE R3-56".

The chrome housing has some pitting and the lens surface on one side has what looks to be some hairline cracks in the lens plastic (see photos).

This could make a nice decorative piece for your vintage car parts collection or it would still work as a replacement lens. It still seems solid even with the appearance of the hairline cracks in the lens. There is no bulb or socket with this lens assembly, only the two pieces you see.
