This is a beautiful antique barrel back oak pub chair or captain’s chair, likely from the late 1800s or early 1900s. 

It is heavy and sturdy, with metal bars for lots of support, curved spindle back, and indented seat for comfort. 

Solid and sturdy, with minor cosmetic imperfections consistent with age.
