This beautiful porcelain vanity set had been left in a room for decades, the room contained many Victorian and Edwardian artefacts that seemed to be preserved under many years of dust and cobwebs.

I have cleaned this set gently with a wet sponge and from some light research, I found that the design is the “Worship of Hera” painted by the Austrian artist A. H. Schram.

It is likely that it is Empire Porcelain (EPC) from Stoke on Trent from the early 1900’s although the stamps underneath are blurred now and don’t really support this research unfortunately. I’m sure there’s an expert out there who may be able to help?

One pot is stained pink (possibly residue from rouge?) and there is a crack on the tray and a chip on the bottom of the candle holder. Please see pics and zoom-in.

Underneath each piece, the stamps show what looks like the earth emanating a ray of flashes -like a halo, within a polygon/circle.

The vanity set includes:-

1 x Tray

1 x Hairgrip tidy pot and lid

1 x Trinket box and lid

1 x Pin tray/dish

1 x Candle holder

1 x Talc shaker

There can’t be many of these left in the world now so here’s your chance to bid on a unique and rare item!
