Antique Victorian Painted Spelter Marley Horse & Groom Statues (Pair)

Description:

A striking pair of antique Victorian spelter horse statues depicting rearing "Marley horses" with grooms. The horses, grooms and bases are painted black. One groom wears traditional attire whilst the other groom is semi naked. The wire reins are all intact. Both statues are firmly mounted on oval wooden bases on rounded feet.

Condition: 

There are no cracks to the metal or bases. All wire reins are in place.The paint is worn in places. The bases are original to the statues and have a few scuffs and the paint is worn in places.
