1941 Press Photo Actress and ice skater Sonja Henie - syx00945

This is an original press photo. Sonja Henie's been married just a year come Independence Day, and look at our suave young siren now! Gone are 20 pounds, all skating dresses trimmed with marabou, and those high white-laced shoes. As Mrs. Dan Topping, Sonja affects "femme fatale" black creme, a halo of black aigrettes, and gorgeous diamonds. Dan does the family marketing for jewels, by the way, and recently brought home this pair of diamond and sapphire sunflowers and a diamond lace bracelet two inches wide. The latter is known as a wrist-warmer. Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches. Photo is dated 7-3-1941.
