LAURA is a medium-early variety known for its unique round fruits. These eggplants are strikingly dark purple, lacking any dots, with a medium gloss and green flesh. Being thermophilic plants, they thrive best when grown under cover, such as in greenhouses or pots.

Eggplants are rich in mineral salts, particularly phosphate, calcium, and fiber. They possess medicinal properties and are known to lower cholesterol levels in the body. They are ideal for stuffing, stewing, and canning.

To cultivate LAURA eggplants, sow the seeds in seedling boxes from January at a depth of approximately 0.5 cm. With temperatures ranging from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius, the seeds will germinate within 14 to 21 days. The plants start producing fruits 72 to 80 days after germination.

During the flowering stage, it is advisable to spray the flowers with lukewarm water to encourage fruit formation. Harvest the fruits while they are shiny, as they may become bitter if left to mature further.
