You are bidding on a STUNNING and NEW OLD STOCK, UNUSED example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht Issue Minerva Service Wrist Watch! This EXACT watch is featured in Dr. Konrad Knirim's, "Military Timepieces" book.

Produced for the German military, all issued wristwatches were required to follow a specific standard, this being: case made of a chromium plated brass; a manual winding movement; water resistant; dust/moisture proof; and are a total of 15 jewels.  A secondary hand is to be located at the 6 o'clock position indicating seconds, and both main hands are to be luminous.

Made of a chrome plated case, this Swiss-made Recta watch is in AMAZING functioning condition, and featured on page 431 in Dr. Konrad Knirim's, "Military Timepieces" book. Though there are some marks and wear from storage, it is in OUTSTANDING UNUSED condition, with NO damage or corrosion! The manufacture name is clearly marked on the dial, and was manufactured between 1939 and 1945. The reverse is stamped with "D 646536 H" (DH = Dienstuhr Heer Service Watch). The AMAZING feature is it still retains the ORGINAL issue leather strap! Though it is 100% FUNCTIONAL, there crown/stem pulls out when attempting to adjust the hands As such, this will have to be rectified by the winning bidder. For reference, the other codes produced were:

DH: Dienstuhr Heer

D: Dienstuhr Luftwaffe

DRGM: Deutsches Reich Gebrauchsmuster

RLM: Reichsluftfahrtministerium

KM: Kriegsmarine

DU: Dienstuhr (Verwaltung)

Note that the guilded movement has not been serviced in 30 years, so even though it is currently running, I would suggest getting it cleaned for daily use/wear. Almost IMPOSSIBLE to upgrade in the condition, it is a SUPERB and 100% ORIGINAL item for any collection, or display!

NOTE: I have NUMEROUS other markers and styles in stock. Please contact me if you are looking for something specific.
