Antique late 1800's Aikin, Lambert & Co. Fountain Pen with Gold Nib

Handed down from family members, said to be from late 1800's.  Very dainty, assuming it's a ladies ink pen.  Measures slightly over 6" in length.  The carrying case measures 7" in length.  Gold Aiken Lambert #3 nib.  Handle is either Ivory or some other material.  Box is original and made with a leather covering, some slight staining in the inside liner, catch locks still work.  Not sure what the inscription is on the underside of the box. Looks to me to be hand written.  Comes from wealthy Southern Illinois family.  Please see pictures for details and condition.  We only ship to addresses in the US.
