Signalling Through Space Without Wires

(1900)    London, The Electrician      133pp + cat.

Third edition, not dated, presumably 1900, from “The Electrician” series. Full title Signalling Through Space Without Wires with a description of The Work of Hertz and His Successors “with Additional Remarks concerning the Application to Telegraphy, and Later Developments”.

Original editorial orange cloth with gilt lettering on front board (framed) and spine, light traces of wear and damp on the cover (see photo), small previous owner stamp on endpaper, paper mildly age-yellowed as usual, overall a good copy of this scarce book.

Important, fundamental early work on applied electromagnetic radiation, its detection and experiments in wireless telegraphy, by the famous British scientist Prof. Oliver Lodge, the pioneer of wireless telegraphy in England. Profusely illustrated by layouts and diagrams including few b/w photos.

This is an original edition, not a modern reprint or reproduction.
