Here we have a 2006 (56) Nissan 350z Convertible 3.5ltr V6. We took this car in last month. Its very low mileage for the year having covered only 65000 miles. It also has an MOT until 8th of September 2024. On first glance I had every intention of selling this retail however when I did the inspection we realised the previous owner had put a decat pipe on it. This will have to be changed before September to pass its next MOT.
Now, we are German car specialists and I'm sure there are people reading this that know the in's and out's of these cars far better than us and will be able to sort that in a flash, or leave it on there if so required.
When the car was in for inspection we noticed that the discs and pads on the front were poor so these were obviously changed (MOT advisory) .I have the bills for this. In addition to having two new tyres. The wheels were also refurbished as they had a fair amount kerbing all round.
The roof mechanism works perfectly, however when you put the roof back up and clip it in the yellow light flashes saying that its not engaged, I'm sure this is just a connection and nothing serious as the light goes off when the roof is down. Like i say we are not experts in this field.
As you can see in the pictures it has lots of history and has been regularly serviced. Last serviced on 63000 miles by NIssan.
It is actually a shame that the pipe would have to come off as it sounds lovely!
This car needs a couple of things to make it a real good, low mileage future classic.
The auction will start at the value i would have set the reserve. There's no point beating around the bush!!
Similar age cars with similar mileage are fetching between 8k and 13k (13k seems excessive).
