We are pleased to offer this fantastic black clay pottery covered bowl made by La Chamba Cookware from Colombia. The lid has an opening for a spoon. Can be used for small individual soup servings, to hold sugars, spices, etc. This piece is in excellent condition. It measures 4” inches in diameter (excluding handle) and stands 3 1-2” inches tall to the top of the lid. These pieces are handmade by families in a small village on the banks of the Magdalena River in central Colombia using local area clays, then hand burnished with a stone. The pieces are then fired in the village, giving them the distinctive black color and elegant look. They are oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
