Chelsea Clock Rare 1940s Navy Black Bakelite Quartz TESTED battery Not included

Clock mechanism takes one AA battery and says it was made in W. Germany, so post WW2.

Tested and works well.

The back has a slight “92” or “9Z” sort of engraved (scratched?) on the back (I saw others listed had a similar mark), I’m not sure what that signifies.

ZOOM IN on pics to gauge condition. To my untrained eye it looks to be in fine shape for something over 75 years old. It looks like it might be missing the screws to secure the clock face to the main body BUT the bolt-tightened lid-lock holds everything in place when closed.
