1992 VOLKSWAGEN 2ltr Petrol T4 HI-TOP, KONCORD CAMPER – INCREDIBLY
RARE!
A much loved and very rare T4 Hi-Top 4 berth camper, in
good all-round condition, for sale due to minimal use over the last few years.
Originally purchased as a father & daughter joint
project, this cherished rare Koncord camper has been mechanically well cared
for and has seen only occasional use covering less than 800 miles in the last
four years.
Registered in summer 1992, converted at the factory, this T4
is in original unrestored condition, never welded and has been corrosion
treated underneath.
Current mileage is 150k, the 2ltr petrol engine had been
regularly serviced, it runs very well and is smoke fee - these engines are very
long-lived.
MOT’d until November 2024 with only minor advisories linked
to lack of use.
The bodywork is generally very good with the only
significant corrosion being in the off-side front wing. There are some areas of
minor surface corrosion elsewhere on the bodywork (see photos) but no
structural issues. The fibreglass hi-top is in excellent condition. The various
transfers on the bodywork are all removable.
A point to note is a circa 12inch scrape on the near-side
sliding door (see photo’s).
The interior is original and shows its age. Needing some TLC, it is functional
and smart enough to remain as is or to be retrimmed by its new owner. There
is a tear in the drivers side seat.
The camper is not damp (even following recent rainfall) and
isn’t musty. All electrics and gas appliances work although they have not been
subject to an expert check in recent years.
This is a great opportunity to buy a rare, early T4 to
either use and is or as the basis for your own project with solid mechanicals
and structure / bodywork.
