In the late 1800s, the Santa Fe Trail was replaced with the modernized railroad. Will Dalton and his unique posse became one of the last groups to ride the trail as they journeyed from Santa Fe, NM, to Independence, MO. Bounty hunters, Indian attacks, and betrayal are only a few of the trials they face as they search to cure the tubucerlosis that is killing Will's beloved Annamarie.
