Presenting an exceptional Mid Century Danish Modern pottery bowl masterfully hand crafted and signed Tusbo Danmark, the studio founded by Harry Nielsen in conjunction with his wife Jytte Trebbien circa 1950s.
This impressive bowl is spectacularly finished with a thick glassy ice blue and green glaze to the interior which is magnificently contrasted with a flat matte brown glaze to the exterior.
Layers of glossy cool blue and green dynamically flow over the interior, blending and combining to create a striking range of tones and random glaze effects. The thick glaze spectacularly pools within the inner base creating a glass-like finish.
The external glaze enables the gritty texture of the earthy clay to shine through, adding an appealing lava-like texture which adds an appealing tactile element to the design and magnificently contrasts the interior.

SIZE: This impressive piece stands approx 60mms tall and measures 150mms in diameter.

CONDITION: This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some minor crazing to the interior as is to be expected with thick, glassy glazes of this nature but mentioned for complete accuracy. This piece has been very well cared for and presents magnificently.
MARKS: This bowl is beautifully signed to the base with an inscribed mark "Tusbo Danmark".
