Recently serviced with meter tuned to accept modern 4LR43 battery.
Cosmetically in good condition. One very shallow dent to the top left conner(closer to viewfinder window) and one scratch to the rewind switching lever. There are also some other usage/age related marks that are not too manifest.
Viewfinder mask is free from corrosion.
Optics in mint condition, no obvious sign of scratch or fungus, but may have minor dust.
Comes with a compatible battery and strap. No other attachment.
A few things that require attention:
- The modern 4LR43 battery has a very flat, nearly sunken negative end that may not be long enough to reach the contact in the battery chamber. You can either pull the contact out a little bit or place some conductive material in between (such as a small piece of kitchen foil). A small magnet (<1mm thick) attached to the battery's negative end works best. Alternatively, you can use a 4LR43 adapter that utilises multiple smaller batteries.
- All Rollei 35 models feature a unique characteristic: the lens can only be retracted when the camera is fully advanced, and the shutter release button will be locked if the lens has not been extended and locked into position.
