This is a Nizo Heliomatic 8 (Model S2R) 8mm cine camera dating from the early 1950s. It is a beautifully engineered camera which was very expensive in its day, costing £96 in 1955, the equivalent of around £3,300 today!

It is in excellent cosmetic condition and appears to be in full working order. The spring motor winds easily and is quiet in operation at all speeds - 8, 16, 32 and 64 feet per second. It has its original lenses - a Rodenstock Heligon f/1.5 12mm lens coupled with a Euron f/2.8 37.5mm lens, both of which focus well.  It has a coupled meter which is untested.

The camera comes in its original Nizo leather case (also well engineered) which is in fair/good vintage condition but has a broken shoulder strap. It also comes with its original trigger handle, a set of Nizo filters, covers for both the lenses and the meter and a remote cable release. To control the camera with the trigger handle, the cable release is first inserted into the handle and then connected to either the single frame port or to the shutter button as required. It also has a Nizo 53 viewfinder attachment for the front of the camera. Please note that this camera has a lot of features and not all of these have been tested.

The camera measures 15.5cm x 13cm x 7cm and is very heavy for its size, weighing 1.5 kg. This will be a fairly heavy package, hence the higher than usual shipping cost.
