THE ITEM DESCRIPTION: The Toonerville Trolley board game was produced by Milton Bradley & is copyright dated 1927 Milton Bradley. The original box cover says the game is based on newspaper cartoon characters created by Fontaine Fox. The game is complete with 8 game piece characters & the 9th game piece is the Toonerville Trolley itself with the Skipper at the helm. Each piece has a round wood base – 4 red & 5 green. Includes 2 wood dice cups & pairs of dice, a small & a large pair. The 8 characters are pictured & named on the game board. The game instructions are printed on the inside of the box cover & they are very detailed & complicated. The instructions are for 2 players each having a dice cup with 1 large & 1 small die. The game board is in excellent condition & measures 16” by 16 1/2” when open. The game pieces vary in height with 2” being average. The trolley is 2 1/2” high. The game pieces are in excellent condition with just some minor play wear.  The original box is in excellent condition with edge wear along all 4 sides & small areas of paper loss around the edges. In addition the red "frame" that runs along the 4 sides of the top has faded to pink. The box cover & the game board have great original art signed F.Fox with slash markets above that look like trolley tracks.
