The National Jamboree for the Scouts BSA (Boy Scouts of America) was held after a 6 year hiatus at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in Mt. Hope, West Virginia from July 19 - July 28 2023. Although smaller than previous jamborees, it was an awesome experience and makes me very hopeful for future jamborees, and all of scouting. This was created for the Staff (JST - Jamboree Service Team) created by the Jamboree Chaplains, or Chaplaincy Team. Their job description was: Provide pastoral counseling and general support to scouts, contingent leaders and staff, and provide guidance, logistical and resource support to contingent troop Chaplain Aides, while also being available to assist in Duty to God and worship opportunities at the Jamboree. They were also an integral part of the Medical/Mental Health Teams. This is the 6 inch round jacket or back patch. |
