The MF-01 X chassis is a compact 4WD chassis that can be driven on any surface, from on-road to dirt roads. The strong left-right split monocoque frame is integrated with the gearbox for ease of assembly. The motor is mounted at the rear end and transmits power to the rear wheels via gears and to the front wheels via propeller shafts. Differential gears are installed in the front and rear sealed gear cases for smooth cornering. In addition, the running battery is set almost in the center of the chassis for good weight balance. Suspension is double wishbone 4-wheel independent with friction dampers. Upright hub carriers for the M-05Ra chassis are used for off-road driving, and rally block tires are mounted.
