German WWII K-98 Mauser Rarest Austrian Combat Bayonet & Metal Scabbard Original Not Reproduction. Blued blade and red-brown bakelite handle. Bayonet and Metal Scabbard numbers Do Not Match. Bayonet Numbers are 438C BYM  Austrian made. The Blade has 44 marked on the top square end to signify it was made in 1944. BYM from 1939 - 1944 made only 140,000 bayonets.  Scabbard Numbers are JWH42 and 1022 which signify the scabbard was made in occupied France in 1942.
