This scarce and colorful card is one in a series of 60 Animal cards issued during 1897 by the Church and Dwight Company entitled "Interesting Animals" .  One was inserted into each package of their Arm and Hammer and Cow Brand and John Dwight’s Baking Soda and Saleratus.  Each card features a handsome portrait of an Animal on the front of the card (comparable to any of the Audubon images), with a brief description of the Animal and advertising for  Soda on the back. This card is # 37 in the series and features VAMPIRE BAT . This card is designated as J10 in Burdick’s American Card Catalogue   There are many different variations of this series.   This variation features the SQUARE DWIGHTS  Soda Symbol on the front, and has the “6 two-cent stamps” and the JOHN DWIGHT & CO. New York  address.  The card does have some very slight corner wear, but is free from major creases.  I have scanned the front and back of the card fairly large so you can determine the condition for yourself.  This card would make an excellent gift for anyone interested wildlife in general.   Were else can you pick up such a unique  print of this age and quality, this affordable?   Don’t miss out on this rare OVER 125 Year Old collectible (A True American Antique) .
