This is a NOS Ford steering worm sector shaft for a 1949, 1950 and 1951 Ford and Mercury passenger car.  Restore your steering box the right way!  It is in what is left of the original box.  There are a couple of places with very light corrosion on the shaft you can see in the first two pics.  I don't think this will affect performance of the part.
