Offering for your consideration is this Vintage Porcelain Hand-Painted Smiling Lion Cub with fur mane and tail.  The foil seal is still intact and this product of the early 1960's was made in Japan for Brinn's, Pittsburgh, PA.  The glossy finished lion is pale yellow with some darker tan around his large eyes.  Around his neck is a tattered ribbon that is brown with metallic gold thread.  His mane is in great shape considering his age, but the forehead section has been lost leaving a glue stain with a small amount of fuzz.  He has some darker glue stains around the edge of the mane on the face.  This cute little vintage piece is free of serious paint fade or loss, chips, nicks, crazing, cracks or repair.  The lion stands about 4.5" tall x 4" wide (mane included) x 2.5" deep. He would probably be even more handsome with a good cleaning, but I will leave that delicate detail to his new owner.
