Scott # C-5 USPS Airmail- 16¢ Air Service Emblem 1923- 2nd Airmail issue used.
The stamp is well centered, the perforations are all right, and the details are not faded but are easy to view on this used Airmail stamp.
There is a discoloration that is at the bottom is barely noticeable toward the bottom middle.
This second issue Airmail comes with the start of nighttime airmail flying in 1923.
The country was divided into three delivery zones for mail delivery, for instance, a letterfrom New York to Los Angeles would cost the most. Airmail from New York to Tampa Florida, would be 8¢ if it is in the same continental zone as
New York.
