Customers immediately did not like the new flavor.  It did lacked carbonation, customers said, "much like Pepsi".  For this reason, I had several retail customers on my route order pallets of 6 pack cans, of what they call now, "original Coca Cola".  They would save it for customers that particularly asked for it.

      In my 38 years since "New Coke" was introduced, I have had a few cans of "New Coke", but It is rare to see one in this nice condition.   This is a memory of by-gone days.
