This photograph and several I am offering come out of the estate of Arthur Klein (1889 – 1955) Klein was a race car driver in the 1910s, served in WW1,  married silent film actress Peggy Pearce and then for a few decades was the head of transportation for Warner Brothers Studios.  These photos were removed from a scrapbook that had a bunch of signed movie star photographs in it.  They were almost all inscribed to Klein’s son whose name was also Arthur Klein but had the middle initial of “P” instead of his father whose middle initial.  Many of the photos have scrapbook paper on the back or remnants.  On some photos, especially those that are not double-weight, the glued used to glue them him has in some cases seems to have impacted the emulsion on the front of the photos causing some light spots.  I will mention if this is the case in the description below.  Being in the scrapbook for 80 years however has protected the autographs that in many cases are still very bold.  I have not submitted any of the autos for third party certification but believe they are genuine and not secretarial since most have inscriptions to Arthur Jr. and they were being provided to Arthur Sr who likely knew the actor / actress given his role at Warner Brothers.
