Early 1970s Bradford Co PA Scrapbook Pages: Tragedies, Crimes, History, Social +

Offered here are these half-century-old scrapbook pages kept by an avid Bradford County, Pa., scrapbooker.

She saved newspaper accounts that caught her attention, some historical or might become historical, and others that were just plain interesting.

In fact, she saved so many clippings that her supply of scrapbooks was outpaced by her collecting.

So when she filled the scrapbooks she would remove the pages, refill with fresh sheets and start over again.

That's what is being offered here, three collections of pages from the early 1970s, but no scrapbooks.

These pages are filled with the news stories of the day that caught her attention during these months.

Though the majority of the articles are from the Towanda and Monroeton area, there also are items from elsewhere in the county.

Please see the photos for a sampling of the contents and to judge condition for yourself.

Remember, these are just the pages, not the bindings. These pages would make a unique gift for an older local person. They're bound to bring back memories. Or give it to anyone interested in local history. There are a pile of sheets here roughly 2 in. high ... scores of sheets.

Clippings are largely from the Towanda Daily Review, but also a few other sources.

Size: Pages measure 11.75 in x 12.75 in.
