"Broadway was designed by Morris F. Benton in 1927 for ATF, and introduced in 1927. It is a serifless face of extreme thicks and thins, designed with no lower case and therefore very large on the body. There is also Broadway condensed, designed by Benton for ATF in 1929, with lowercase and more normally proportioned descenders."
