Protagonisti di questa nuova illy Art Collection i luoghi iconici di alcune città italiane, raccontati in una sequenza di inquadrature impresse sulla ceramica dell’inconfondibile tazzina creata da Matteo Thun nel 1991.
Galimberti scompone i luoghi simbolo delle città in un racconto di Polaroid amplificando la potenza dell’immagine e moltiplicandone i punti di vista in una visione simultanea che coinvolge lo sguardo dell’osservatore.
Questa tazzina nasce dal Mosaico che il fotografo e instant artist Maurizio Galimberti realizza per il Manifesto della 49a edizione della regata Barcolana utilizzando la tecnica fotografica della scansione e dilatazione temporale delle immagini, caratteristica del suo lavoro.
Trasformate in frammenti attraverso questo processo, le vele bianche delle barche in gara formano una scrittura emozionale che vibra sulla superficie del Manifesto e sulla porcellana della tazzina e del piattino.
Le illy Art Collection, serie di tazzine d’artista che l’azienda triestina realizza sin dal 1992, sono una delle espressioni più evidenti del rapporto che illycaffè intrattiene con l’arte contemporanea. The protagonists of this new illy Art Collection are the iconic places of some Italian cities, told in a sequence of shots imprinted on the ceramic of the unmistakable cup created by Matteo Thun in 1991.
Galimberti breaks down the symbolic places of the cities in a Polaroid story, amplifying the power of the image and multiplying the points of view in a simultaneous vision that involves the observer's gaze.
This cup was born from the mosaic that the photographer and instant artist Maurizio Galimberti created for the poster of the 49th edition of the Barcolana regatta using the photographic technique of scanning and temporal dilation of images, characteristic of his work.
Transformed into fragments through this process, the white sails of the competing boats form an emotional writing that vibrates on the surface of the Manifesto and on the porcelain of the cup and saucer.
