A Brand New Airfix 1:72nd Scale Junkers Ju87B-1 Stuka Model Kit.

The Junkers Ju87 Stuka quickly became one of the most infamous and feared weapons of the Second World War. The two man dive bomber first saw action in the skies over Spain during the Spanish Civil War and although outdated it did contain some advanced features such automatic dive brakes. 

However over the skies over the South of England during the Battle of Britain the Stuka came up against staunch RAF opposition and suffered very badly as a result. 

Later it was use in the Balkans, Western Desert and continued to serve on the Russian Front until the end of the Second World War. 

This model makes up into two versions, the first being of a Stuka of II./ Sturzkampfgeschwader 77, Breslau-Schonigen Germany, Spring 1944 and the second is of a Stuka of 1./ Sturzkampfgeshwader 2, "Immelmann" Balkans, 1940/1941.

 

 This makes up into a very nice large model and is listed as skill level two.
