ONLINE INFORMATION ABOUT PATTON'S DAIRY IN SPRINGFIELD (from Wayne Glenn)At our last post we left off around 1950. By that time a fellow named Robert F Quinn had come to work for the Patton's Creamery in Springfield ..............
Mr Robert Quinn joined Patton's Creamery in 1947 and remained until 1978 when he was forced to retire due to his age. In the 31 years in between Mr Quinn was the manager of the sales and finally the general manager of the company. Mr Quinn led Patton's to adopt the Tastemark symbol of quality in 1951. He directed the dropping of the Patton's name, finally, in 1960 when the local milk factory became the fresh new FOREMOST Company! Mr Quinn took Patton's from being one of many many creameries to being the top milk outlet of its type when he was forced to retire.
