***********FOR PARTS/REPAIR - The ETA 2783 automatic movement with quickset date function does not run. While the date and time can be set without issue and the screwdown crown screws down perfectly as it should, the oscillating weight and associated parts are loose. These parts will be included in a separate parts bag. And as clearly seen in the pictures a screw has lodged itself between the driving and ratchet wheels. This is a contributing factor for why the crown does not wind as it should. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required.***********

This vintage 1970's Aquadive 200 with seldom seen brilliant orange "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial is in pristine condition.  Any imperfections seen are on the crystal, not the dial.  The original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully.  The stainless steel bezel with vibrant orange insert, which shows wear and rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, presents nicely.  The all stainless steel case shows honest wear with no visible signs of oxidation.  The outer edge of the case back is stamped "SUPER WATERRESISTANT   20 ATM   INCABLOC   AUTOMATIC   FULL STAINLESS STEEL   SWISS MADE" with "1939" and "2435" stamped along the inner edge.  The crystal should to be replaced.

The 25 jewels Swiss ETA 2783 automatic movement with quickset date function does not run. The quickset date function works flawlessly by unscrewing the crown, pulling it out to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached.  Given the issues mentioned and shown and considering that the movement shows no clear signs of ever having been serviced at a minimum a complete overhaul is required.

This watch measures approximately 37 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs.  Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm.  Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 12 mm.

At a minimum a complete overhaul is required.  As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch.  Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time.  For this watch that time is now.  Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility.

Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given.  And please study the 24 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch.

Expedited and insured shipping along with signature confirmation will be provided.  Thanks for looking!
