Auction is 1 new old stock Amphenol 3 pin male "donut" XLR connector as used on Vox JMI AC50, AC100, and other model heads and speaker cabinets and also early versions of Vox solid state amp heads and speaker cabinets made here in the US by Thomas Organ Company.

This is unused but may have some nicks or scratches from being stored.  Some that I have were heat sealed in plain plastic, but I do not believe this is original packaging since there is no Amphenol logo.

Also included is a package of 3 1/2" chrome tinted round head wood screws to mount the Amphenol to your back panel as shown in the second photo.  The wood screws are slotted and are the correct length for the 3/8" thick rear plywood panels found on AC100 heads.  I am looking for machine screws and nuts so you can also use these on the escutcheon panels for the speaker connectors on AC50 heads, but you should be able to use a very thin piece of wood as a substitute for the nut.  Vox cabinets made in the US by Thomas Organ Co. used Phillips head screws to secure the Amphenol XLRs and I only have the slotted type.

YouTube has videos on how to properly solder these XLR style connectors to speaker wire.  For the Vox XLR, the single #3 pin usually on the bottom is considered positive (+) and the 2 upper #1 and #2 parallel pins are negative (-) and bridged or tied together.  Last photo shows how the XLR male connectors are wired in Vox Thomas amp heads.  Unlike microphone cables, no shielding is used on the Vox connectors.

Check out one of my other auctions for sealed 3-pin female Amphenol XLR connectors with 4 feet of 14-gauge premium Skar speaker wire so you can make your own Vox speaker cable. However, if you use buy it now for $40 in this auction, I will add and include 2 sealed female Amphenol 3-pin connectors and 4 feet of the Skar speaker wire.

First class postage in the continental US is included in the auction price.
