What is FOCTLENDER?
Foktlender was an optical instrument manufacturer active in the 18th century, before the invention of the camera. Founded in Vienna, Austria, and later relocated to Germany, in 1839 the world's first camera was launched in France, and the following year the company perfected its own camera, which went on sale in 1841. Since then, the company has continued to develop cameras and photographic lenses, and has long been a favorite of people around the world. It can be said that Voigtlander is one of the oldest camera makers in the world, and has been a part of the history of photography.
Focusing on the area described as "the taste of the lens," this lens pursues the beauty of photographic results. By intentionally retaining a moderate amount of aberration, the lens is soft, especially when the aperture is wide open, and sharp when stopped down. This allows photographers to take full advantage of the lens's unique characteristics.
A lens that lets you enjoy the flavor of the subject
The NOKTON CLASSIC has a classical image rendering that is distinctly different from modern lenses, which are sharp and high-contrast regardless of the aperture value. The lens is particularly soft when wide open and sharp when stopped down. The ability to control the dual nature of the lens according to your photographic intent is also an attractive feature.

The focal length is 29.7 mm and the weight is 175 g. Despite its large F1.4 aperture, the lens is compact enough to carry with you at all times.
Two types of lens coatings to choose from
The multi-coating (MC) is designed to reproduce neutral colors as much as possible, while the single-coating (SC) is designed to reproduce classical color tones. The lineup allows you to choose the lens coating of your choice.
Manual focus for reliable focusing operation
The use of an all-metal helicoid unit machined and adjusted to a high degree of precision and high-quality grease that produces moderate torque enables focusing with a smooth operating feel. This allows for subtle focusing adjustments.
Focusing lever with excellent operability
The focusing lever is shaped for easy fingertip access to support quick and reliable focusing operations.
Bayonet VM mount
The lens mount is a VM mount compatible with the Leica M mount. This mount is not only suitable for use with distance-meter-controlled cameras, but also offers excellent design balance when mounted on a mirrorless digital camera via a mount adapter.
Rangefinder Linkage System
The high-precision rangefinder-linked system allows for precise focusing near the maximum aperture.
Full-size image circle
The camera has a generous image circle to accommodate a full-size 35mm-format camera. It is also very compact compared to interchangeable lenses for SLR cameras.
