- We found very little information on this artist, though some archive newspapers were helpful.
- Born in Washington DC, Ms. Lighty moved to the Southwest in 1969 and lived in the Cripple Creek and Florissant area for some time.
- Her artwork was displayed in galleries across Colorado, Scottsdale, AZ and Canyon, TX in the early 1970s.
- She received acclamation for her unique style of realism and preference for simplicity and detail.
- She illustrated a Cripple Creek poetry book published in 1972.
- Beyond this, we have "lost the trail".
