K&H outdoor beds and pads are designed to warm to your pet's normal body temperature of 102°F when he/she lies on the bed or pad. When your pet is not on the bed or pad, the heat will dissipate into the air and the surface temperature will vary according to the ambient air temperature. It takes about 20 minutes for it to heat up. 

Cleaning Instructions

Wash the faux fleece cover on the gentle cycle with cold water, then line dry.
The heated bed can be cleaned using a damp towel or sponge and mild dish washing detergent. DO NOT wash in a washing machine.
To clean the house, wipe with a damp cloth.
