Description
Vintage c1950 Ivory Satin Gown. This lovely vintage late 40's/early 50's evening gown features a synthetic satin body, sweeping full length skirt, spaghetti straps, sweetheart bodice, and skillfully applied ivory satin piping in a soutache style in a figure 8 pattern on the bodice. There is also a side metal zip closure with hook and eye closures at the top. There is a small internal paper label with order #0195, there is a size listed but it is illegible. Laying flat the gown measures: bust 17'', waist 13 3/4'', length 60''. The gown is in good condition with a few faint spots, faint dents and marks on the hem of the gown, 2 seams becoming unsewn at the waistline, and fraying to the satin edging on the side closure.
