These storage devices appeared to be brand new, but when we opened one up and inserted 2 hard drives we found that the power light turned red after a few seconds each time, whether it had nothing installed, old hard drives or new; these all may respond like that and we don't know why or what issues they could be having, so we are selling them all AS IS, for parts/repair - no guarantees, no returns
