The VM670SP from Audio Technica is a dedicated dual Moving Magnet Mono Cartridge that is perfect for 78RPM records due to the large curvature radius at the stylus tip. The curvature radius is 3mm and suitable for playing 78 RPM records from a wide variety of eras.

The VM670SP employs two magnets arranged in a V-orientation replicating the original cutting head, instead of a single large magnet. The magnets are positioned to match the positions of the left and right channels precisely in the groove walls of the record. The design has superb tracking ability, stunning channel separation and an extended frequency response.

For mono operation, left and right channels should be connected. A mono body on which left and right terminals are internally connected to reduce any record noise which is primarily in the vertical direction and obtains a highly focused ‘centre’ sound image compared with stereo bodies.

This cartridge uses para-toroidal coils to improve its efficiency and to give superb linearity, since leakage of magnetic flux in this continuous and magnetic circuit is low. The use of laminated cores also helps to optimise the permeability of the cores.

We ship all our orders from depot in the heart of Birmingham.
We provide FREE next day delivery on all of our UK orders, so long as you complete your order before 2pm (Monday - Thursday, Excluding Bank holidays). Orders placed on a Friday morning will be delivered on the Monday. Orders placed after 2pm Friday will be dispatched on the following Monday.

  • For our UK orders we use DPD Couriers (Next Day Delivery) who provide a personal tracking numbers with a one-hour delivery slot on the day of delivery. For smaller UK orders we use Royal Mail (1st Class).
  • For our international orders we employ eBays Global Shipping Programme (GSP). Which is highly recommended for its costs and efficiency. All the international orders are sent to a GSP depot here in the UK, before onward international shipping. You will get emails updating you on the progress of your order throughout the delivery process

We do not allow local pick-up for eBay orders, but if this is necessary please contact us prior to making your purchase and we can make arrangements for you.

For combined shipping you will need to add the items to your basket before paying for them, and then we will send them out together. For international orders eBay GSP calculates the shipping cost, which normally charges extra for additional items based on weight.

  • We ask all items that are returned to us be wrapped in outer material (brown paper, plastic, clear wrap, black wrap or anything similar) complete with their original packaging.
  • Any items that are damaged or have parts and accessories missing will be subject to a re-stocking fee or in some cases even rejected.
  • Please ensure you contact us before returning the item to obtain a returns reference.
  • You must also ensure you include your name, eBay ID, and the reason for the return; it will speed up the refund process.
  • All of the refunds are processed with the same payment method as the original purchase.
