Description: An interesting and attractive, original, antique, double-sided strip road map from the 1720 edition of John Owen & Emanuel Bowen's 'Britannia Depicta or Ogilby Improv'd'.

The sheet of hand-laid paper is printed on both sides. The copper-engraved strip maps (with accompanying information about the locations along the route and embellishments such as coats of arms) are pages 7 & 8 of 'Britannia Depicta'. They have significant detail of topography and place names, Settlements along the route include:

Provenance: 'Britannia Depicta or Ogilby Improv'd', London, 1720

Condition: Very good condition. Light age toning. Minor damage to the bottom right corner of the sheet, not affecting the printed area. Please study the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
