This card was issued by the Town Talk Bakers of Worcester and Fitchburg, one was wrapped with each loaf of their Town Talk Bread.  The series is entitled “ National Flags” and is listed as series D135 in Burdick’s American Card Catalogue (several different bakeries issued this same series regionally).  The front of the card features an illustration of the National Flag of the featured country and gives some information about the country.  The back features advertising for Town Talk Bread, and indicates that an album to glue all your cards in was available from your grocer. I imagine this might be one factor in the scarcity of these cards.  Most kids would have glued them to the album.   The Card  measures 3 5/16 inches by  2 3/8 inches approximately.  The card does have a small sliver of paper missing from the bottom.  That is common with many bread cards apparently they were secured to the bread wrapper by this strip of paper and in most cases you had to tear the piece off to release the card.  The card does have a few bends  I have scanned the front and back of the card fairly large so you can determine the condition for yourself .
