This is a great hickory wood shaft brass Morristown (Spalding) golf putter. It measures 35 1/2" long from the top to the heel. Very good condition, the grip is a little rough.

At the turn of the 20th Century, golf had stirred mild interest in the United States, and A.G. Spalding & Brothers sporting goods saw an opportunity. The company was already selling golf balls when, in 1905, it became the first in America to offer its own brand of golf clubs. Spalding released their Morristown line of clubs in 1898 as a more affordable option for the consumers.
