I have obtained a collection of vintage cine films/home movies made mainly by Dr Andrew Dickson of Old Deer, Aberdeenshire (later of Milnathort, Kinross-shire) in the 1960s and 70s but including some others by previous and following generations of earlier and later dates. Dr Dickson is believed to have worked at the Maud Psychiatric Hospital, Aberdeenshire in the 1960s. I haven't watched any of these films in full but have taken some photos of the opening sequences unrolled from the various reels and shot over a lightbox. I will be selling these films in seperate lots. Please see my other listings.
Offered here is approx 300ft of 16mm colour film, dating from the early 1960s, titled 'Ireland' and seen to contain footage of Dublin street scenes as well as scenic country locations in the early part of the film. The bulk of the reel is unexamined. It is contained in a metal 'Paterson' branded box and appears in nice condition as per my photos. It is offered here with a low price start and no reserve.
