This pair of beautiful candlestick holders are a wonderful example of one of the earliest Sandwich clear lacy glass candlesticks manufactured during the early period at the factory. This candlestick has a number one socket and a stepped base. This is one of the earliest and classical shapes of the candlesticks produced at the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company. Barlow list this candlestick holder in it's General Assortment book, #5249, where a single candlestick was valued at $350! CONDITION: The overall condition is good with some minor roughness and annealing lines to the socket on both candlestick holders. One candlestick has been glued just below the wafer stack to strengthen a flawed break. ​There are many annealing lines, bubbles and other common manufacturing flaws found in this early pressed glass.
