I would guess this beauty is likely from the art deco period. Made in the
'bar link' chain style, these are patterned after the old watch fob chains, but
made to be more feminine and worn as a necklace.

Each link is covered with ivory-toned enamel.
The enamel coating features a lovely vine-like motif.
There are seven large, stationed, faceted beads.
The largest (at the center) is 16 mm, with the others a mm or two smaller.
Weight is 44 grams.
These lovely beads are registering as spinel or possibly topaz.

The old spring ring closure has lost it 'springiness,' and does not snap back.
Once closed manually, it does stay closed and can be worn, but I
would of course recommend the ring be replaced, and it has been
priced accordingly. The spring ring is stamped 'STERLNG.'
Because of the style, it is quite difficult to test the
delicate metal links, so I'm not certain what they are made of.
The beautiful enamel does show some light wear, normal for
this material at this age.
Overall, an elegant and quite uncommon piece!

Just a quick note--I am not an expert, but I do try my best to
identify items as accurately as possible. Gemstones can be tricky,
but I do test to at least discern whether it is
real or simply glass. I may not always be able to identify the precise stone.
