THREE PART TEA SET
A
delightfully pretty Victorian antique silver plated ornate three piece tea set
copiously decorated with bright cut scrolling engraved cartouched decoration.
The main pot, of baluster form, is crowned by a detachable floral knop. Each
piece is furnished with beaded and embellished double scrolled handles and is
raised on a quartet of curved feet with spectacular mounts as shown in the
images. It is electroplated over Britannia Metal and warranted hard soldered.
The
silver cover is bright, ample and intact apart from very minor surface service
marks. The inners of all three pieces are clean with only minimal signs of use.
There is some slight dimpling to the main pot which can be seen on close
inspection of the piece. There is a small repair to the lid which is
unobtrusive and does not affect the aesthetics of the piece, this is apparent
to the inner lid where there is a little notch to the inner rim and a small
blob of solder present.
