Waveguide Handbook

1951      New York, McGraw-Hill             428pp

First edition.

Original editorial brown cloth, gilt lettering on spine and decoration (MIT Radiation Laboratory) on the front board, boards lightly worn, rubbing and tiny traces of label on the spine (see photo), ex-lib label and stamps on pastedown and endpaper, no other stamps or marks noted inside, overall a good and tight copy.

Important book, volume no.10 of the famous MIT Radiation Laboratory series, devoted to microwave networks and waveguides, fully illustrated by charts and diagrams, still one of the fundamental works on the microwave waveguide. From the Preface: “This book endeavors to present the salient features in the reformulation of microwave field problems as microwave network problems. .. Although the primary aim of this book is to present the equivalent-circuit parameters for a large number of microwave structures, a brief but coherent account of the fundamental concepts necessary for their proper utilization is included.

This is the original first edition, not a modern reprint or reproduction.
