Not every day you see one of these!

Completely original Les Paul Signature from 1973, in superb condition with original case.

These guitars came about after a reunion between Les Paul and Gibson after Norlin took over in the early 70's. Using Les Paul's favourite low-impedance pickups, and some of the new electrics that were used in the Les Paul Recording, this was reportedly Les Paul's favourite guitar that he had ever been involved with.

In terms of controls we have 1 x overall volume and 1 x tone, with additional Phase and Impedance switching. This allows you to switch between 50, 200 and 500ohms, giving everything from a full throated thick humbucker sound, down to a quacking, almost single coil output. The phase switch in the middle position switches the pickups in and out of phase. In addition, we have 2 separate outputs, one normal hi-z for your amp, and another low-z to go straight to the engineers desk.

It plays and sounds like a dream, super low action and a dead straight neck.

This guitar is the cleanest signature you could imagine and is a true case queen. With a lovely lustrous gold top with no greening and just the best straight line lacquer cracking that looks incredible. A few tiny marks, here and there, but no cracks, repairs or breaks. All original, including tuners, virtually un-worn frets and original case in great condition. This is a brilliant investment, or every day player. There was probably a '2nd' stamp above the serial at some point but it looks to have been gently scratched out. Strap locks changed to schaller lockers, originals in case.
